About Us

Steve McDaniel the president of Cobb Carpet Supply began his career in 1974 when Johnny Cobb hired him to help move-in to a new warehouse location in Dallas. After the move, he was hired full-time as a warehouse worker, then delivery driver. He was later promoted to sales associate, and eventually warehouse manager. In 1989, he was promoted to branch manager of the new northeast store. He was a devoted employee and held this position for over forty (40) years. In 2022, Steve and his partners purchased Cobb Carpet Supply from the Cobb Family.

Cobb Carpet Supply was founded by Johnny J. Cobb in 1960. Johnny Cobb was as a carpet installer, but he found that carpet supplies were hard to find. He founded Cobb Carpet Supply to provide supplies for carpet installers. Johnny expanded his business in 1989 by opening a new northeast branch in North Dallas. Cobb Carpet Supply has been in business for over 60 years and Johnny ran the business for over forty years until he passed it down to his children Larry, Randy, Dennis, and Robbie.

After purchasing Cobb Carpet Supply at the beginning of 2022, we have made several changes to better serve our customers. We moved to a new location at 444 West Mockingbird Lane, Dallas, TX. We have updated our systems to include a POS system, added more diverse products and increased inventory for a faster delivery service. Our first pledge is to earn your business with friendly and efficient service. With our increased inventory so we can accommodate your needs in a faster and more efficient way.
