Upholstery Cleaning Procedure
8" TuWay Slotted Bonnets- Cut in half for better performance & durability
7" Polisher variable speed 1,000-2,000 RPM
  Quality 50ft 12/3 extension cord.
Sprayer that will put out a fine mist ( Mytee, Multisprayer, Pump up ) Not Inline Sprayer
This is geared for large production like theatre seats, but office chairs can be done the same way.
Procedure:
  1. Prevacing is usually required.
  2. Use a DRY bonnet on the polisher, set at around 1,700 rpm
  3. Spray the DC Encapsulate SR (8oz./gal.) on the chair,
  do not spray more than
a few chairs ahead, or it will dry before you agitate.
  4. Starting at the top of the chair and working down to the seat, use even pressure and quickly go over the entire surface, it will clean well without going over it several times, any stains remaining should be treated with an Encapsulate SR spotter (50-50 with water) AFTER you clean.
  5. Without stopping the machine, go on to the next chair. If you have someone spraying for you, you can do this kind of production work at an very fast rate. It should take you about 40 seconds to do an average soiled theatre chair.
  6. Change the bonnet when it gets DARK ...you don't need to flip sooner, these synthetic bonnets take a high soil load and keep absorbing as long as you don't overwet them.
  7. Chairs are dry and ready to go back in service almost immediately,
figure 15 minute dry time if
you have not over applied the Encapsulate SR solution.
This method also works well with any durable synthetic upholstery. Results are very good considering the short time and product used per chair. Facilities managers also love that the chairs can go back into service immediately.
